Crime and Punishment: Perspectives on Community Safety

Liberty Victoria was very proud to present with the Wheeler Centre, the event Crime and Punishment: Perspectives on Community Safety. Before a large audience, our President Jane Dixon QC met with Victoria's Attorney General Robert Clark MP, former Supreme Court judge and current chair of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, the Honourable John Coldrey QC and former chaplain at Pentridge prison, adjunct Professor Peter Norden, for a discussion on how best to ensure community safety, whether the criminal justice system is working and what prospect offenders have for rehabilitation.
